Aiming to evaluate the curative and protective effects of Dichlorvos in two formulations applied directly on wheat seeds, in controling the rice weevil Sitophilus oryzae (L, 1763) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) this experiment was conducted. With a CO2 sprayer were applied 7.5g, 10g, 15g and 20g a.i. of Dichlorvos (DDVP-500) and 12g a. i. of Dichlorvos (DDVP-1000) diluted in 0.5 liters of water per ton of seeds. All doses, except 7.5g a.i. of Dichlorvos, presented an efficient control of the rice weevil in stored wheat seeds.
