The present work develops an analysis of the different dimensions and specificities of planning processes and strategies of communication involved in the struggle against Aedes aegypti in Brazil. The core of the reasoning described below deals with the problem of erradication of Dengue and Urban Yellow Fever vector foci, and encompasses a prospect of conflictive communication, in the broader sense of the processes of "dispute of senses" prevalent in contemporary societies.
