Acquisition of infinitive matrix sentences in Brazilian Portuguese in a 20-24-month old child

This paper conducts an analysis of infinitive matrix sentences in Brazilian Portuguese in a 20-24-month period. The hypothesis is that children's grammar has the functional categories, as proposed by the continuist approach. However, Agr has not been triggered with all its relevant features. This study considers that in children's Brazilian Portuguese, it is weak, as proposed by Galves (1993).
