Rhetorical model to reading and writing pedagogical abstracts on technical school

ABSTRACT

This paper presents a rhetorical model for writing summaries at high school technical level. The sociorhetorical genre basis that underlies the proposal is described. From this basis, the moves for writing these summaries about newspapers reports are detailed. Students ´texts written based on this model are analyzed. Results indicate that, by using this proposal, students were able to write a text that is similar to the genre.
