Open-access Which censorship are we referring to?

Those who do research in the area of Translation History can profit from a knowledge of Brazilian History and its methodology as well as from the authors who comment on different periods of their special interest. This knowledge can help them identify the effects of censorship and the development of translations produced during the Vargas Era (1939-53) which marks the industrialization of translation in Brazil.
