The objective of this study is to understand the repercussion of the search, production and management of care to an elderly person suffering with a psychic chronic condition has on the life of the family. Considering that such chronic condition requires a progressive and permanent care, we aimed to understand the wear and the implications that such care causes to the family. It handles of a Case Study, utilizing the History of the Focal Life as a methodological strategy turned operational by in-depth interviews with the members of the family of an elderly person under psychic suffering. As a form to organize and analyze the data we used the Therapeutic Itinerary and its tools. The study invites us to reflect that the care produced has a repercussion not only on the aged person under psychic suffering but also on the way of life of each nurse and of the family as a whole.
