It is a bibliographical revision that objectified to analyze scientific publications of nurses on, errors in the handling of the medicine therapy, carried through for the nursing, indexded in data bases in the period of 2000 the 2006. The virtual libraries MedLine had been searched, Lilacs and Scielo. The sample were constituted by 16 publications that had been analyzed how much to present the factors of error and proposals or not of barriers for error. It is distinguished that studies in relation the errors in medication are relatively recent and few are mentioned to the Brazilian reality. Illegibility of the letter of the doctor in the lapsing, the frequent load of work of the extreme nursing enters the reasons pointed with respect to the occurrence of errors is had it, interruptions during the stages of the lapsing and medicine administration, reduced number of employees and lack of experience of the nursing professional that prepares the medication. Three studies had presented proposals of barriers related to the computerization of the process.
