The Singularities of Young Children Manifested in their Play Time

ABSTRACT

By contextualizing the homogenization of the subject’s experiences in the educational system, which devalues their particularities, this article examines the manifestations of the peculiarities of small children during play time. The aim of the study is to how such manifestations happen, considering the diversity of their cultural repertoire, identifying their particular aspects and their meanings in these moments. Participant observations were held with a group of nineteen children aged four years old during eight meetings. The field diary records allowed the analysis of the children’s experiences, as well as the expression of several singular elements during the games, which are closely tied to the social context in which individuals are embedded.
