ABSTRACT
The following paper introduces and develops the theoretical assertions of the pedagogical proposition of biographical workshops, as they are used with and by academic researchers and students in the Social and Human Sciences. These assertions are revisited in their various steps and their proposal is contextualized under the wider scope of the theory of the ecology of knowledge, by Boaventura de Souza Santos, aligning with the current ideas concerning biographic research, as it is developed by the international association Le Sujet dans la Cité.
