A Meaning for School Experience in Pandemic Times

Abstract:

In this article, the emergence of the global pandemics is analyzed as a factor that makes the crisis in education even more visible and acute. The lack of spatial presence of students at schools is compounded by the deflation of the historical dimension of education. This deflation is then analyzed taking as its departing point the narrative of a teenager’s school experience. Its interpretation and analysis point out the need for schools and teachers to provide their students with opportunities to inhabit another world intime and space through the access and reframing of fictional works and historiographical studies in which the experience of living in a pandemic context is reconfigured in the light of the present.
