Open-access Women’s history and Brazilian historiography: contexts, tendencies and debates

ABSTRACT

Consolidated nowadays in the Brazilian historiography, the Women’s History is an area whose production increases more and more. In face of the growing interest in this camp, it is important to know the path of its formation, as well the tendencies, debates and dialogues that were part of this movement. Inasmuch, this article seeks through a historiographical revision to contextualize, not in an exhaustible way, the trajectory of Women’s History in Brazil, approaching the main points of its constitution between the 1970’s and the 2010’s.
