The article intends to contribute to the debate about the reception of the ideas of the intellectual and activist Frantz Fanon (1925-1961) in Brazil. In this sense, it seeks to offer subsidies to previous discussions and to confirm some of their hypotheses, demonstrating that in the 1980's there was a moment of approach and use of some of Fanon´s ideas in Brazilian black political and cultural activism, especially among intellectuals of the group Quilombhoje Literature (1978-).
