ABSTRACT
The paper aims to analyze the recent debates on the Anthropocene in the field of professional History and to contribute to it with a different approach from the History of Concepts. It uses references from narrative studies dealing with debates on the relations between History and Fiction, paying special attention to the issue of temporality and ethics. It intends to engage the audience by analyzing recent Latin American prose at the climate crisis debate, such as Samanta Schweblin’s Distancia de Rescate, which provides a unique perspective on the issue.
