ABSTRACT
This article analyzes the final moments of the Brazilian New State in Amazonas, highlighting the action of the queremista movement and discussing the political-partisan reorganization and the December 2, 1945, elections. To that end, we used newspapers of the time as a fundamental source to understand the historical moment in question, shedding light on the movement in local political life in a moment of blatant agitation and changes in the Amazonian political game.
