ABSTRACT
The ancient act of storytelling has permeated the digital environment thanks to the adoption of the computer as an artistic tool. "Stories hanging by a thread" are stories whose integrity is somehow threatened by the conditions under which they are transmitted. In these stories we may find an aesthetic exploration of the medium's affordances and limitations. The following article aims to address the influence of the medium on the transmission of a story, while underlining a link between several forms of storytelling, ranging from the oral tradition to the use of tracking devices.
