Open-access An analysis of the network society from the perspective of the cluetrain manifesto: a new perspective on the relationship between people, technology and information

Abstract:

The research presented in this article aims to highlight the following object of study: the relationship of complementarity of the cluetrain manifesto for the study of the unfolding of the network society today. Therefore, the objective of the research is to present the cluetrain manifesto as a complementary theoretical-conceptual contribution to the study of the unfolding of the network society today in Information Science. The research is qualitative developed using a methodology that encompasses bibliographic research and literature review either under the rapid review method, or by the Systematic Mapping of Literature. In the analytical procedures, it uses content analysis according to Bardin’s recommendations, the moment of the research in which the frequency counting procedure occurs. As a result, the research managed to achieve the objective, since were found evidence of the representation of the cluetrain manifesto as a complementary and current theoretical-conceptual contribution to the study of the theme network society in Information Science. The discussion promoted brings light to important points for the field of study of Information Science, as the mentions of the new impacts of networks on people’s lives and on working with information and knowledge.
