A STUDY OF STUDENTS' PREPARATION FOR RATIONAL DEBATES OF RIVAL THEORIES AND/OR CONCEPTIONS IN A PHYSICS TEACHING STRATEGY INSPIRED BY LAKATOS

In a previous paper we justified the possibility of preparing students for rational debates of rival theories and/or conceptions and proposed an alternative teaching strategy based on Didactic Rational Reconstruction (DRR). This paper presents an analysis of some outcomes resulting from the application of that strategy in the teaching of heat and temperature concepts to High School students.
