A LITERATURE REVIEW ON INTERDISCIPLINARITY IN SCIENCE EDUCATION

Interdisciplinarity is scarcely studied in science education research, although it is inserted as the basis of national education in the current legislation. In order to understand how this concept has been studied in high school by science education researchers, we conducted a detailed literature review in national and international journals of education and in the last issues of ENPEC and EPEF meetings. As a result, we achieved a large overview that allows us to understand how the area faces the problem of interdisciplinarity, which is defended by all the 112 papers analyzed. However, theses researches are narrow and specific, showing many problems and the need of a deeper discussion.
