ARTICLE-OPINION - CERN SCHOOL OF PHYSICS: A DISCOURSE ANALYSIS IN THE LIGHT OF LUDWIK FLECK’S EPISTEMOLOGY

ABSTRACT:

The emergence from an assessment of Denardin, Guimarães and Harres’ work (2022), this essay is a set of notes that outline relationships between aspects of Fleck’s philosophical work on the processes of production, circulation and textualization of scientific knowledge and teacher training in the field of Education with natural sciences. I point out the precursory character of his work in relation to contemporary developments in the philosophy and history of science, as well as in Science Studies, addressing four aspects: the possibility of a cultural interpretation of the notion of style of thought; the relationship between this cultural dimension, an ontology and the production of subjects; the inseparability between knowledge production, language, circulation and different textual forms; and the ethical (political) dimension of his thinking. I conclude, as a sketch, presenting a possibility of placing the teaching agency in these processes and the essential tension present in the formation of the subject-practitioner-teacher, whether initial or ongoing.
