The aim of this study was to map the academic production on Youth and Politics in Brazilian journals from 2002 to 2011, putting into play the way the young man is being presented in these productions, as well as the policy has been signified in the context of contemporary youth. It is a literature search using the Electronic Library of the SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) as a database. In this work, we will treat a total of 33 articles, 16 of thematic unity Formation of Political Subject, 13 addressing Youth and Political Participation and 4 about the theoretical contributions on youth and politics. The results bring us five categories of analysis for the concept of youth and four categories of analysis of the concept of politics, which constitute hegemonic, showing greater and lesser degrees of complexity.
