ABSTRACT
The present article is based on a training experience in which the author (himself a teacher and artist for more than 20 years) was involved from October 2016 to May 2017. SITI-Conservatory (NY-USA) is a training program and artistic exchange promoted by the American company of performing arts SITI. The narrative contextualizes this experience, at the same time as it sets out the reasons why the author-teacher decided to embark on this adventure. In a comparative gesture, the initial expectations and the concrete reality of this experience are put into dialogue with each other. The most appropriate tone discovered to perform this critical analysis was the one of testimony. It is, therefore, a contribution that represents only a subjective point of view that mirrors the history and the personal experience of its author.
