This study aims at understanding how the integration of sociocultural issues occurs on the curricular proposal and teaching practice of a pre-school unit where professionals, joined to relatives and neighborhood, constructed within ten years a political-teaching project named "Em Busca de uma Alternativa Curricular" (Searching for a Curriculum Alternative). The topics that conducted the investigation were: political-teaching project history and origin, interactions among different social actors, real curriculum and its demonstrations in the teaching practice, large and local culture, age and type relations.
