ABSTRACT:
This article, based on analyses that examine the worrisome phenomenon of extreme poverty in the current context, aims to discuss the precariousness of broad strata of the population in different contexts and to delimit, for practical purposes, the areas of qualification that education can encompass in actions aimed at the youth and adults. The objective is to help these groups of people to react against fears, insecurities, and uncertainties brought to their lives by such extreme conditions, pondering the articulation between precariousness and education. We also seek to understand the current perspectives of qualification, as well as the cognitive, psychological, and political aspects involved in order to make it pedagogically relevant to the poor population
