ABSTRACT:
This paper aims produce a panorama about the research on education policy and management in Brazil, comparing it with a previous work (WITTMANN; GRACINDO, 2001), looking for perceiving the movement of the main trends of this Brazilian academic production. To do so, we used two sources of research: the Scientific Eletronic Library (SciELO) repository and the Brazilian Journal of Education Policy and Administration. The papers were categorized into 12 groups and included a set of 823 works. In order to compare with the work of the mentioned authors, this research compares five categories: State and Education; Right to education; Financing Education; School Administration and; the Public and the Private in education.
