To find out which meanings and values could be added to an object-book over time, this work examines the link books establish between readers and reading. It resorts to reading experience memories from a time of life when books were present, based on the account of 50+ people who have kept their reading material for decades, decided to rediscover this material, or kept others' book. This work draws on studies on memory by de Certeau (1994) and Bosi (1994) and on book history by Chartier (1994, 1996, 1999).
