This work uses the artist-reflexive teacher's paradigm to investigate the construction of the teachers' knowledge, in one performance influenced by multiple and interlinked factors, characterizing a "complex physics system". After understand the knowledge in action of a team of Physics on a private school of Rio de Janeiro, connections between the professional development and a Physics teaching-learning innovative project were stablished. It was important the integration between the literature about teacher's formation and that of science education, to guide interviews that helped to know the ways of construction of teacher's knowledge. Analysis of some categories created for this processes tries to contribute to discussions about teachers initial formation.
