In-Service Teacher Education: reflecting on practices and practices of reflection

In-service teacher education in Portugal is regulated by various legal documents and aims to promote the dynamic up-dating and knowledge acquisition needed for the profession, as well as to develop innovative interventions within professional contexts. On the basis of the legal and conceptual frameworks of in-service education and teacher training models, the present paper seeks to reflect upon practices and discuses the role of reflection in professional development.
