RELATIONAL EXPERIENCES IN HERITAGE EDUCATION

ABSTRACT

This article proposes a reflection on the social mutations that arise from the confluence between Heritage and Education, where a change of time is evident, a slippage from fixed national identities to dynamic societal identifications. Heritage Education begins a path that underlines the passage of Heritage as a historical and static reality, to the heritage experience as a relational dimension. Since these transformations, Heritage Education opens opportunities to overcome the identities of peoples who cling to an unwanted nationalism. Starting from an epistemological look at the activities that have been developed around Heritage to facilitate its access – mediation and pedagogical proposals –, we will highlight the changes in progress, from the experiences that amplify people’s experiences.
