WHY WE SHOULD ABANDON THE IDEA OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

ABSTRACT

The text is a theoretical essay built through an integrative literary review, which aims to highlight the founding contradictions of the idea of inclusion, which has become an organic principle of modernity in terms of building an egalitarian society. It historically analyzes the origin and formation of the inclusion category, from its primeval meaning as the act of placing something or someone in a closed space to the evolution of the concept in the present time, demarcating existing gaps in its understanding as derived from the constituent antitheses of the initial formulation itself. It ends by asserting the importance of overcoming this category by dialectical incorporation through the appropriation of the concept of accessibility as the new grammar of a democratic and just society.
