Some childhood and adolescence disorders are discussed under a behavioral approach, and using DSM-IV diagnosis criteria. data from literature on diagnostic features, prevalence, etiology, and prognosis for the following disorders Provides: autistic disorder, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder, mood disorders (dysthymic disorder and major depressive disorder), anxiety disorders (specific phobia and separation anxiety disorder), and elimination disorders (enuresis and encopresis). Intervention strategies under a behavioral approach are also discussed.
