Open-access BEHAVIOUR OF ADHESIVES BONDS ON WOOD OF PLANTED FOREST

Pinus sp. and Eucalyptus sp. wood were glued varing quantity of adhesive, gluing pressure and resorcinol dilution. The strength glued joints, as well as solid wood were determined, boring on the specific gravity and failure percentage. The better effect , in pinus wood, was obtained at 600 g/m2 and gluing pressure of 1.0 MPa. Statistically, the dilution up to 10% and 15%, respectively to pinus e eucalyptus wood, had the same performance than the no diluted te adhesive. The spread rate of 600 g/m2 provided bonded joints of pinus diluted at 15% and pressed at 1.0 MPa with higher strength than the solid wood as well as the Eucalyptus wood. The spread rate of 300 g/m2 can be considered acceptable for both wood, because the strengths of the glued joints reached the of strengths of the solids wood.
