ABSTRACT
Some tools for exact identification of the growth rings in the tropical species are necessary. In the evaluation of tree growing by dendrochronology two methods (static and dynamic methods) could be applied. Those methods can be carried out by several techniques. For the static methods, the techniques of wood anatomy, radiocarbon dating, ring-width analysis, etc. and for the dynamic methods the techniques of phenological investigations, measurement of diameter growth by dendrometer bands and measurement cambial active by electric resistance with a shigometer are applied. Those methods are useful for identification of the peridiocity of the growth zone, contributing for estimation of the real age of the tree. Tropicals trees develope normal and false rings (interrupted and indistinct). For exact comprovation of growth rings combined different methods can be applied.
