Open-access EFFECT OF DIFFERENT NITROGEN FORMS ON NODULATION AND GROWTH OF ACACIA MAGIUM

Combined N inhibit nodulation in many legumes. Although, nodules of some species of trees grow slowly in comparison with grain legumes, and a small amount of N can stimulate nodulation shortly after germination. The effect of different sources of nitrogen on the nodulation and plant growth parameters of Acacia mangiumv was studied. Applied nitrate drastically affects the nodule formation. NH4+ was the best source of N applied, for nodule grow and plant development.
