Growth of Cordia trichotoma (Vell.) Arrab. Ex Steud., in the central area of Rio Grande do Sul State

This research had the objectives to determinate the growth in diameter, commercial volume, current annual increment in percentage of the commercial volume and the commercial form factor for Cordia trichotoma (Vell.) Arrab. Ex Steud., in the central area of the Rio Grande do Sul State. Backman´s equation was more efficient, being selected for the adjust of the current annual increment in percentage of the commercial form factor as function of DBH. The commercial form factor variation ranged from 0.51 at 15 years of age, to a maximum value of 0.80 at 90 years old. The current annual increment in percentage of the commercial volume varied from 25.90 to 2.22 %, obtained at 15 and 90 years old, respectively.
