SAZONAL VARIATION OF Selenaspidus articulatus (MORGAN, 1889) (HOMOPTERA, DIASPIDIDAE) IN Citrus reticulata BLANCO, AT THE UFRRJ CAMPUS

ABSTRACT

The populatíonal fluctuation of Selenaspidus articulatus (Morgan 1988) have been studied in a agroecosystem (UFRRJ- Seropédica-RJ) with the culture of tangerine Citrus reticulata Blanco. The data were collected every week from January 1995 to December 1996, trying to establish the degree of infestation of Selenaspidus articulatus, as the frequency of its natural enemies (predators). Few indices of precipitation and high thermal amplitude have influenced on the population of S. articulatus. The natural enemies found with high frequency were: Pentilia egena e Chrysoperla sp.
