NATIVE SPECIES BEHAVIOUR IN MONTAINEER REGION OF RIO DE JANEIRO

ABSTRACT

The main purpose of this work is to obtain information about forest recomposition of grazing ground with native species in mountaineer region of Rio de Janeiro state. “Jatobá”, “Vinhático”, “Louro do Mato” and “Jequitíbá” species have presented best silvicultural results and high potential for commercial plantation. Species from leguminous family must be recommended to recuperate degraded areas.
