Neo-Kantianism and Neo-Hegelianism

ABSTRACT

In its origins, the nineteenth century movement for a renewal of Kantian defined itself in opposition to Hegel’s speculative philosophy. However, due to still not fully clarified reasons, the development of this movement leads, by the beginning of the twentieth century, to the acknowledgement of the necessity of an equal renewal of Hegelianism. The objective of the present study is to explain the progressive transformation of Baden Neo-Kantianism into a variety of Neo-Hegelianism.
