ABSTRACT
The following volume brings together different points of view on gender studies and their derivations, based on the work and experiences of a group of researchers linked to these themes, have developed their work from a critical and countercultural resistance perspective. This perspective leads us to propose a publication that recovers the voices silenced by dominant heteropatriarcal discourses in order to have renewed readings around fundamental questions for contemporary societies fighting for equity, equality and non-discrimination of all kinds. In this sense, it is a critical book of the discourse and practices of gender studies. Namely: gender violence, gender and coloniality, sexuality and media representation, sexual dissent and LGTBIQ+, postcolonial discourses and feminist movements of the South, masculinity, women’s imaginaries, bodies in resistance, out-of-gender, among others.
