In the 1970s, Jean-Claude Bernardet wrote for the newspaper Opinion (1972-1977), which was linked to the resistance to the military regime. Writing referential articles about Brazilian cinema, he continued his work of participatory critique, intervening politically in the field of cinema. We examine some of the traits of Jean-Claude Bernardet's cinematographic thinking in the underground press, taking as example the critique published about the Lesson of Love (1975) by Eduardo Escorel.
