Resumo Entre as mudanças ocorridas nos modos de influência, constam os novos formatos possibilitados pelas redes digitais. O YouTube, por meio das “suas” celebridades, é uma dessas redes. As suas formas de influência mesclam esquemas antigos com sistemas sociotécnicos novos. Para perceber essas dinâmicas de influência, selecionamos três youtubers. De modo qualitativo, e a partir da teoria dos arquétipos, estudamos a presença de arquétipos nas estratégias de influência e o modo como estes são utilizados nos títulos, na construção, na legitimação e na manipulação de conteúdos. A criação de figuras e elementos comuns (brincadeira, raiva, violência, vingança, sombra, mãe ou Deus) entre produtor e consumidor é uma das estratégias mais comuns para “capturar” a atenção dos seguidores.

Abstract Among the changes occurred in the modes of influence, there are the new formats made possible by digital networks. YouTube, through “your” celebrities, is one of those networks. Its forms of influence mix old schemes with new socio-technical systems. Based on the SocialBlade rankings, three of the main youtubers in the “Portuguese speaking space” were selected. Qualitatively, and based on the theory of archetypes, the presence of archetypes and the way they are used in titles, construction, legitimation and content manipulation were analyzed. The creation of common figures and elements (play, anger, violence, revenge, shadow, mother or God) between producer and consumer is one of the most common strategies to “capture” the attention of followers.

Resumo O texto se propõe como debate acadêmico, sobre artigo recém-publicado por autor relevante da área da Comunicação. Dois componentes imbricados são percebidos no artigo debatido: um, propositivo, que é academicamente valorizado; e um de combate, onde aparecem contradições com o primeiro componente. A expressão antropocentrismo é debatida no uso feito para caracterizar pesquisas não alinhadas à proposta heurística que o autor oferece. A desqualificação de oponentes assim construídos não presta serviço à própria heurística – que, em si, oferece boa contribuição para a área. Finalmente, com base no conceito de affordances e na percepção da diversidade de objetos e pesquisas na área da Comunicação, propomos um acolhimento da heurística na forma de teoria intermediária.

Abstract This article is proposed as an academic debate, about a recently published article by a relevant author in the field of Communication. Two nested components are observed in the discussed article: one, propositional, which is academically valued; and a combat one, where contradictions with the first component show up. The expression anthropocentrism is debated as used to characterize researches nonaligned with the heuristic proposal offered by the author. The disqualification of opponents so constructed does not favor the heuristic itself – which, however, offers a good contribution to the area. Finally, based on the concept of affordances and on the perception of diversity of objects and research in Communication, we propose the reception of the heuristic as a middle range theory.

Resumo A pesquisa sobre as escritas permaneceu por muito tempo subordinada à Linguística, conforme uma concepção representativa-fonocêntrica simplista em que a escrita se encontrava submetida à língua. Essa posição é agora insustentável. Graças ao encontro entre Semiótica, Linguística e Antropologia, a pesquisa sobre as escritas foi renovada. A partir dos estudos das semióticas figurativas e plásticas, deu-se a reintrodução do imagético e a tomada de consciência da espacialidade no estudo das escritas. A abordagem antropológica indicou que a escrita e seus mecanismos apresentam um conjunto de valores culturais, sendo um meio privilegiado para a produção ideológica e simbólica de um povo. A linguística abriu-se assim a outras disciplinas, passando a considerar a escrita como um continuum pluri-semiótico que comporta intrinsecamente uma dimensão icônica e uma dimensão linguística.

Abstract The research on writings remained for a long time subordinated to Linguistics, following a simplistic representative-phonocentric conception in which writing was subjected to language. This position is now unsustainable. Due to the encounter between Semiotics, Linguistics and Anthropology, the research on writings has been renewed. According to the studies of figurative and plastic semiotics, imagery has been reintroduced in the study of writings, as well as the awareness of spatiality. The anthropological approach has shown that writing and its mechanisms present a set of cultural values, being a privileged emplacement for the ideological and symbolic production of a society. Linguistics has therefore opened up to other disciplines, now considering writing as a pluri-semiotic continuum that comprises both an iconic dimension and a linguistic dimension.

Resumo O presente texto está dedicado à compreensão da significação social-histórica das smart cities no profuso rastro do imaginário tecnoutópico ocidental. A política da argumentação é flexionada por três movimentos cumulativos, assim dispostos: primeiro, as smart cities são inseridas no quadro da epistemologia crítica da glocalização mundial e de sua dinâmica informacional em tempo real; segundo, as smart cities são apreendidas no arco recente de um profundo deslocamento de padrões imaginários utópicos tradicionais em favor de tecnoteleologias emergentes, vinculadas aos media digitais e às redes interativas; e, terceiro, são mobilizados fundamentos necessários para caracterizar as smart cities como última fulgurante configuração do mencionado imaginário tecnoutópico.

Abstract The article approaches the socio-historical significance of smart cities in the extensive track of the western techno-utopic imaginary. The argumentation policy operates three cumulative movements, as follows: first, it inserts smart cities in the framework of the critical epistemology of the worldwide glocalization and its informational dynamics in real-time; second, it apprehends smart cities in the recent arc of a profound displacement of traditional utopian imaginary patterns in favor of emerging techno-teleologies, linked to digital media and interactive networks; and, third, it mobilizes all necessary fundamentals to characterize smart cities as the last refulgent configuration of the aforementioned techno-utopic imaginary.

Resumo O que a sensibilidade, meio brincalhona, meio algoz - o olho ciclope do Glauber-profeta - traz para o filme Câncer (1968) quando nos apresenta o personagem-personalidade ‘Eduardo Coutinho’, definindo-o como ‘homem do caderninho’? Glauber e Coutinho coincidem na desconfiança da escrita e da teoria. Querem abarcar a expressão numa identidade-de-si, plenitude da sensação e da intuição, gesto e voz, reino da substância fonocêntrica. Nosso ponto é atentar, em Eduardo Coutinho, para a instância articuladora/ordenadora que se acopla no modo livre de expressão da linguagem falada. Assim, ela faz diferença e desconstrói, de fora e no modo diferido, a coincidência do outro ‘popular’ na comunhão da ‘voz-face’. É essa instância que desafia a congregação na alteridade, introduzindo uma decalagem de raiz que modula a encenação coutiniana. Promove uma valoração diferida, impedindo a cristalização da empatia como fundo transparente da comunicação.

Abstract What kind of sensibility, half trickery, half-serious, the cyclops eye of Glauber Rocha brings to the scene of Câncer (1968), when he presents the personality-character ‘Eduardo Coutinho’ as the ‘man of the notebook’? In his creative ‘mise-en-scène,’ Glauber somehow mimics the way Coutinho himself, some years later, will deal with actors’ performances in another scene device called ‘documentary film.’ Glauber and Coutinho coincide in the distrust of writing and theory, as opposed to intuition and expression. Our point is to pay attention, in Eduardo Coutinho films, to the apparatus engaged in the search for identity, by the spoke expression of the social ‘otherness’ named ‘povo’ (‘the people’). The ordering mode of Coutinho’s documentary mise-en-scène deconstructs this ‘otherness,’ reducing the phonetic substance of voice as pure communion.

Resumo Os autocromos estereoscópicos que Marc Ferrez (1843-1923) produziu em sua última década de vida são radicalmente diferentes da obra conhecida do autor. Este ensaio retoma os panoramas urbanos do Rio de Janeiro na virada do século e sugere, em contraste com esses, que as imagens idílico-melancólicas realizadas, em sua maioria, na Europa, durante o período da Grande Guerra, são resultado da influência do cinema no olhar do veterano fotógrafo.

Abstract The stereoscopic autochromes that Marc Ferrez (1843-1923) made in his last decade of life are radically different from the author’s most known work. This essay discusses initially a few urban views of Rio de Janeiro around 1900 and suggests, in contrast with them, that the idyllic-melancholic images produced, mostly in Europe, during the Great War period, are the result of the influence of cinema on the gaze of the veteran photographer.

Resumo O artigo propõe uma reflexão acerca da importância do trabalho de direção de fotografia de Walter Carvalho na construção da luz, da sombra e da penumbra, como recursos que trazem camadas de sentido para a narrativa de A erva do rato, de Júlio Bressane. O filme é uma livre adaptação cinematográfica dos contos “Um esqueleto” e “A causa secreta”, ambos de Machado de Assis, e narra a história de uma estranha parceria amorosa, abalada pelo surgimento inusitado de um rato. Elementos como voyerismo, perversão e fetichismo transparecem à meia-luz ou por meio do chiaroscuro, em uma atmosfera misteriosa e obscura. Luz e sombra atuam como elementos estruturantes do filme e dialogam com referências pictóricas.

Abstract This paper proposes a reflection on the importance of Walter Carvalho’s cinematography to transform light, shadow and darkness into resources that create layers of meaning in the narrative of Julio Bressane’s A erva do rato. The film is a free adaptation of the short stories “Um esqueleto” and “A causa secreta”, both by Machado de Assis, and tells the story of a strange love partnership, shaken by the unexpected appearance of a rat. Elements such as voyeurism, perversion and fetishism appear in the dim light or through chiaroscuro, in a mysterious and obscure atmosphere. Light and shadow act as structuring elements of the film and dialogue with pictorial references.

Resumo Em um vídeo de seis minutos, Yellow Fever, a cineasta queniana Ng’endo Mukii entrelaça memória e ativismo, realizando um contundente libelo sobre a violência da imposição de uma beleza definida pelo molde branco-ocidental. Aqui, deslocamos parcialmente este eixo central que mobiliza a obra (pele e raça), focando nossa discussão no processo criativo deste audiovisual. O que nos interessa é problematizar a construção narrativa em chave que discute, além dos aspectos biográficos que fundamentam a obra, também o imbricamento de linguagens, considerado sob o horizonte do entrelaçamento da arte e tecnologia, opção que esgarça as concepções de gênero. Um processo cujo start é a subjetividade que se posiciona no território do levante, da inconformidade e da assunção do protagonismo do audiovisual no espectro midiático globalizado.

Abstract In a six-minute video, Yellow Fever, the Kenyan filmmaker Ng’endo Mukii interweaves memory and activism, making a forceful libel on the violence of imposing a beauty defined by the Western-white mold. Here, we partially move this central axis that mobilizes the work (skin and race), focusing our discussion on the creative process of this audiovisual. What interests us is to problematize the narrative construction in a key that discusses, besides the biographical aspects that underlie the work, also the overlapping of languages, considered under the horizon of the intertwining of art and technology, an option that cuts across the conceptions of gender. A process whose start is the subjectivity that is positioned in the territory of the uprising, the nonconformity and the assumption of the protagonism of the audiovisual in the globalized media spectrum.

Resumo O trabalho retoma o conjunto fotográfico Lost Angels (2014), de Lee Jeffries, que retrata pessoas em situação de rua nos grandes centros urbanos, para pensar como os efeitos da estruturação da imagem fotográfica constituem uma relação de alteridade contingencializada. Através dos retratos de sujeitos vulneráveis, Jeffries assina modos de convocação do olhar articulados entre a codificação desejada e a regularização da dimensão estética. Nessa dualidade particular, as imagens são examinadas a partir das repercussões possíveis em regimes de figuração que acionam certo deleite visual conforme modos de convocação da presença dos sujeitos. Discutimos como a fotografia documental ainda poderia oferecer operadores visuais nas tópicas do retrato humano e qual sua designação específica nas exposições destes sujeitos em uma perspectiva plástica e conversacional da imagem.

Abstract This paper takes up the photographic work Lost Angels (2014), by Lee Jefries, which portraits people living on the streets in large urban centers, to think about how the effects of the structure in photographic image constitute a contingent relationship of alterity. Through these portraits of vulnerable people, Jeffries signs ways to summon the look articulated between the desired codification and the regularization of the aesthetic dimension. In this duality, the images are examined based on the possible repercussions of the modes of figuration that trigger a certain visual delight according to the ways in which the presence of people is called upon. We reflect on how documentary photography could offer visual operators in the topics of human portrait and what is its specific designation in these subjects’ exposures in a plastic and conversational perspective of the image.

Resumo O presente texto é um ensaio estético-político que procura articular categorias filosóficas que permitem correlacionar o episódio The Waldo Moment, da série Black Mirror, com a conjuntura política mundial contemporânea, tomando especialmente o caso Donald Trump como paradigma. Para tanto, pensa a entrada em cena de Waldo como um sinal que indica, ao mesmo tempo e contraditoriamente, a positivação integral do espetáculo e a revolta antissistêmica. A partir da leitura do cinismo em Vladimir Safatle, busca compreender um discurso que torce a diferença entre constativo e performativo e se afirma por meio do humor brutal, permitindo a entrada na esfera pública de elementos que até então eram vedados. Finalmente, faz uma análise discursiva estrutural das oposições que alimentam as “guerras culturais” a partir da visibilidade total que as redes sociais produzem, dissolvendo a diferença entre público e privado.

Abstract This paper brings an aesthetic-political essay that aims to articulate philosophical categories that allow correlating Black Mirror series’ episode The Waldo Moment with contemporary world political conjuncture, especially taking the case of Donald Trump as a paradigm. In this regard, Waldo’s entry into the scene is taken as a sign that indicates, at the same time and in contradiction, the integral positivization of spectacle and anti-systemic revolt. From Vladimir Safatle’s reading of cynicism, this paper seeks to understand a discourse that distorts the difference between constative and performative and affirms itself through brutal humor, allowing the entry of elements that were previously forbidden into public sphere. Finally, it makes a structural discourse analysis of the oppositions that feed “cultural wars” from total visibility that social networks produce, dissolving the difference between public and private.

Resumo Este artigo propõe debater e adensar os estudos comparativos no cinema, campo carente de sistematização. Informados pelas contribuições de autores e áreas distantes – de um lado, Walter Benjamin, de outro, a astronomia -, aventamos um método comparatista próprio: as constelações fílmicas. Um exemplo de constelação (os musicais trabalhistas) é demonstrado no intuito de exercitar essa metodologia de análise, que tem como característica uma grande abertura para a sensibilidade dos pesquisadores na experiência com as imagens. As constelações advêm da liberdade de estabelecer conexões entre partes dispersas, fundada em um pensamento que escapa ao linear e busca a criação de redes entre filmes.

Abstract This article discusses the comparative studies in cinema, a field lacking systematization. Informed by the contributions of authors and distant areas - on the one hand, Walter Benjamin, on the other, astronomy - we propose our own method: the film constellations. One example of constellation is demonstrated in order to exercise this methodology of analysis which has as characteristic a great opening for the sensitivity of the researchers in the experience with images. With freedom to establish connections between dispersed parts, constellations are based on a non-linear thought which seeks to create networks between films.

Resumo Este artigo dimensiona o uso da produção audiovisual indígena como recurso estratégico na luta por direitos. Interessa-nos dar relevo para a presença determinante da câmera enquanto dispositivo que oscila como arma política, colocando-se no centro do conflito como testemunha ocular. Nossa análise baseia-se em dois documentários realizados pelo cineasta xavante Divino Tserewahú. O primeiro é o registro do confronto direto ocorrido entre indígenas da comunidade de Sangradouro e autoridades policiais do município de Primavera do Leste (MT), impulsionado após a detenção de um jovem da comunidade. O segundo é um documentário sobre as comemorações dos 25 anos da política do Povo Macuxi pela homologação da Terra Indígena Raposa Serra do Sol, em Roraima.

Abstract This paper seeks to measure the use of indigenous audiovisual production as a strategic resource in the struggle for rights. We are interested in highlighting the determining presence of the camera as a recording device that oscillates as a political weapon, placing itself at the center of the conflict as an eyewitness. For this our analysis is based on two documentaries made by Xavante Divino Tserewahú. The first is the record of the direct confrontation between indigenous people of the Sangradouro community and police authorities of the municipality of Primavera do Leste, driven after the allegedly illegal arrest of a young man from the community. The second is a documentary about the 25th anniversary celebration of the Macuxi People’s struggle for the homologation of the Raposa Serra do Sol Indigenous Land, in Roraima.

Resumo O objetivo deste artigo é discutir quais implicações legais serão enfrentadas quando as cidades informacionais, estruturadas no espaço de fluxo, principal base da sociedade em rede, forem ocupadas por interfaces de projeções efêmeras reproduzidas por meio de dispositivos móveis. Nesse contexto, fundamentarão essa reflexão o reexame da Lei Cidade Limpa e as noções de espaços liso, sem fronteiras, estriado, delimitado, e de Disneyworld, na qual a ordem do mundo é disnéica, para além do imaginário, em que o real se torna um parque de atrações, uma tela total.

Abstract The purpose of this article is to discuss which legal implications will be confronted when the informational cities, structured in the flow space, a main feature of the network society, become occupied by digital interfaces via mobile devices. In this context, this reflexion will be substantiated by a review of the Cidade Limpa law and the notions of smooth spaces, without borders, striated spaces, delimited, and of the Disneyworld, in which the order of the world is disneyc, beyond the imaginary, in which the real becomes an amusement park, a total screen.

Resumo O artigo aborda as práticas relacionadas ao consumo de conteúdo audiovisual em plataformas digitais a partir do estudo da relação dos usuários com a Netflix, sob o viés da teoria da prática. A reflexão parte do resultado da tese de doutoramento da autora, que envolveu a coleta de dados quantitativos e qualitativos. Neste artigo, são discutidos os resultados das entrevistas e a observação dos espaços de consumo dos usuários. Em termos gerais, nota-se o estabelecimento e a reprodução de fluxos de consumo interconectados, nos quais usuários e empresa relacionam-se recursivamente: de um lado, há a disponibilização contínua de conteúdo, e do outro, o acesso rotinizado, fragmentado e marcado pela insaciabilidade e autonomia do tempo dedicado à prática, o que favorece a manutenção da estrutura estabelecida pela plataforma.

Abstract The paper addresses the practices related to the audiovisual consumption on digital platforms based on the study of users’ relationship with Netflix, under the practice theory approach. This reflection starts from the result of the author’s doctoral thesis, which involved the collection of quantitative and qualitative data. In this article, the results of the interviews and the observation of users’ consumption spaces are discussed. In general terms, there is the establishment and reproduction of interconnected consumption streams, in which users and companies recursively relate: on the one hand, there is continuous availability of content, and on the other, routinized access, fragmented and marked by insatiability and autonomy of the time devoted to the practice, which favors the maintenance of the structure established by the platform.

Resumo À beira do segundo decênio do século XXI ainda surgem concepções e representações anacrônicas da publicidade, mesmo depois do aparecimento de obras seminais sobre a sua relevância como texto social, retórica do consumo e “produto” cultural que enuncia os demais produtos. No presente artigo, discutimos a visão preconceituosa e reducionista da publicidade, bem como as formas mutantes e inovadoras que ela tem apresentado nas últimas décadas, somadas às suas configurações tradicionais, visando à sua “permanência” midiática nos tempos vindouros. Para isso, vamos nos valer do romance de ficção científica Lágrimas na chuva, da escritora espanhola Rosa Montero, que apresenta táticas publicitárias utilizadas em 2109, ano no qual se passa a história – quase um século à nossa frente –, além de estudos sobre a história e a linguagem publicitárias.

Abstract On the verge of the second decade of the 21st century, anachronistic conceptions and representations of advertising still emerge, even after the emergence of seminal works on its relevance as a social text, consumer rhetoric and cultural “product” that enunciates the other products. In the present article, we discuss the prejudiced and reductionist view of advertising, as well as the changing and innovative forms that it has presented in recent decades, added to its traditional configurations, aiming at its media “permanence” in the times to come. For that, let’s take advantage of the fiction novel “Tears in the rain”, by Spanish writer Rosa Montero, which presents advertising tactics used in 2109, the year in which the story takes place - almost a century ahead of us -, as well as studies of history and the advertising language.

Resumo Este artigo propõe, a partir da discussão de abordagens teóricas da semiótica discursiva e dos estudos de gênero, um modelo para análise da categoria gênero em textos e discursos, tomando por base o quadrado que estrutura as relações fundamentais de significação. Para sustentar a proposta, o texto apresenta conceitos como a diferença entre identidade e expressão de gênero e a não estabilidade das identidades normativas “mulher” e “homem”; mostra a pertinência de se considerar feminino e masculino como temas constituídos por figuras de conteúdo e de expressão; resgata e faz a crítica de quadrados semióticos de gênero e sexualidade publicados em textos canônicos. O modelo, que se pretende de operação geral, apresenta quatro modos de articulação entre feminino e masculino, que compreendem quatro áreas em que as mais diversas identidades de gênero podem se situar: bigeneridade, ageneridade, supermasculinidade e superfeminilidade.

Abstract This paper discusses theoretical approaches of discursive semiotics and gender studies and proposes a model for the analysis of the gender category in texts and discourses, based on the square that structures the fundamental relations of meaning. To support the proposal, the work presents concepts from gender studies, such as the difference between identity and expression and the non-stability of the normative identities “woman” and “man”; it shows the pertinence of considering feminine and masculine as themes constituted by content and expression figures; it rescues and discusses semiotic squares of gender and sexuality published in canonical texts. The model, which is intended for general operation, presents four modes of articulation between the terms feminine and masculine, which comprise four areas in which the most diverse gender identities can be located: bigenderity, agenderity, super masculinity, and super femininity.

Resumo A recente obra de Ana Kiffer e Gabriel G`iorgi, Ódios políticos e política do ódio: lutas, gestos e escritas do presente (2019), é fundamental para o avanço na compreensão de um nebuloso fenômeno do presente: o ódio como um dos principais afetos mobilizadores da política em tempos atuais. Como surge, ao que responde e qual sua potência comunicativa são algumas das questões suscitadas pelos autores no livro. A novidade apresentada está justamente em investigar o ódio não apenas como restaurador, mas como instaurador de novas demandas, imaginações, visibilidades e apostas coletivas.

Abstract The recent work of Ana Kiffer and Gabriel Giorgi, Political hatred and hate politics: struggles, gestures and writings of the present (2019), is fundamental for the advancement in understanding a nebulous phenomenon of the present: hatred as one of the main mobilizing effects of politics today. How it arises, what it responds to and what its communicative power is are some of the questions raised by the authors in the book. The novelty presented is precisely to inquire into hatred not only as a restorer but as an instigator of new demands, imaginations, visibilities, and collective bets.

Resumo O livro Imagem-duração e teleaudiovisualidades na internet oferece aos estudiosos das problemáticas advindas dos campos televisivo e audiovisual não apenas um profícuo encontro com reflexões inspiradas pelo pensamento bergsoniano aplicado às relações da televisão com o tempo ou o tempo na TV. A publicação oferece sobretudo outras perspectivas epistemológicas às investigações acerca de possíveis construtos televisivos de tempo enquanto territórios de experiências e de significações, especialmente, pós-internet ou mais especificamente, quando a Web abre novas possibilidades à TV.

Abstract The book Imagem - duração e teleaudiovisualidades na internet (“Image-duration and teleaudiovisualities on the internet”) offers to scholars of the problematic coming from the televising and audiovisual fields not only a fruitful encounter with reflections inspired by the bergsonian thought applied to the relations of the television with the time or the time on TV. The publication mainly offers other epistemological perspectives to investigations of possible television constructs of time as territories of experiences and meanings, especially post-internet ones or more specifically when the Web opens new possibilities to the TV.

Resumo O jornalismo está em crise e sob o risco de extinção em tempos de pós-verdade e de fenômenos fake news. Kassia Nobre sugere quatro etapas para um processo de criação e checagem da reportagem que deve garantir e atestar a veracidade da informação diante de seus leitores na retomada da suposta ou temida quebra da relação de confiança nas mídias, ou entre alguns veículos e seus leitores ou telespectadores, suas audiências. Além do corpus e objetos estudados, o percurso do texto é, em si mesmo, a exemplificação da teoria apresentada e a vivificação de sua própria sugestão: seus quatro nós estão presentes na temática do percurso do texto, encabeçando e encadeando os títulos dos capítulos. A presente resenha enfatiza a atualidade e relevância do tema, bem como a simetria do texto em relação à teoria estudada e à própria teoria inédita apresentada.

Abstract Journalism is in a crisis and at risk of extinction in times of post-truth and fake news phenomena. Kassia Nobre suggests four steps for the creative process of reporting and checking the news that should guarantee and attest the information’s veracity before its readers, resuming the supposed or feared breach of trust in the media, or between some vehicles and their readers or viewers, their audiences. In addition to the corpus and objects studied, the text’s path is, in itself, an example of the theory presented and the vivification of its own suggestion. Its four nodes are presented within the theme of the text’s path, heading, and chaining the chapter titles. The present review emphasizes the topicality and relevance of the theme, as well as the symmetry of the text in relation to the theory studied and the unpublished theory itself.

Resumo Diante da hegemonia do discurso do sucesso, usar o fracasso como chave central é uma possibilidade para acionar outras perspectivas teóricas. Partindo das contribuições queer a esse modo outro de pensamento, Jack Halberstam constrói uma coletânea de manifestações artísticas e cinematográficas, bem como de teorizações marginais e histórias ocultas, com a proposta de ativar outros caminhos cognitivos, acionar outros afetos e, dessa forma, desestabilizar discursos dominantes.

Abstract In the face of hegemony of the discourse of success, using failure as a central key is a possility to trigger other theoretical perspectives. Jack Halberstam starts from queer contributions to this other way of thinking and builds a collection of artistic and cinematographic manifestations, as well as marginal theorizations and hidden stories, with the proposal to activate other cognitives paths, trigger new affects and, thus, destabilize dominant discourses.
