Abstract
In the present article, we search to discuss science and technology as productive forces and ideological instruments controlled and determined by capital to enhance the production of plus-value. We read the theme based on comprehension of the relations between Humankind and Nature mediated by work and its specificities in capitalism. In our understanding, the scientific production and the consequent materialization in technologies do not occur isolated from the existing relations of production as long as they are related to it. For this, we sustain our analysis on the historical-dialectical materialism method through the categories of totality, mediation, and contradiction, which allow us to read the concrete reality.
