This study aims to develop and validate a framework for analyzing the relationship between organizational resources, environmental strategy and performance, directed to the slaughtering industry. The model allows us to identify the evolutionary stage of the company with regard to environmental strategy (reactive, preventive or proactive postures) and tangible and intangible resources mobilized for their implementation. The validation was performed in FARESPO at the Swine and Poultry Division of a slaughtering group. It was possible to observe that the company presents a predominantly reactive stance and mobilizes greater intensity in intangible resources, which have interface with the organizational culture. Among the tangible resources, higher value is assigned to equipment and human resources.
