In this article, I investigate the institution of Goiás as a historical and touristic town, interweaving discoursives series that gives visibility and meanings to the town by working the relations of urban space, time and the history: the delimitation of the town as a cultural values through the incorporation of the National Patrimony discourse; the invention of local traditions promoted by Organização Vilaboense de Artes e Tradições; the production of the town "Patrimony of Humanity" in the Dossier of Goiás and the writing of Cora Coralina's memory that takes the form of the past inscribed in the texture of the town material.
