Biologicism (racism) and classism. The current “blacks” in Córdoba, Argentina

Abstract

This article, which has as input speeches collected in different ethnographic experiences, includes, historical sources, current journalist information, and talks with others intellectual productions, try to provide a perspective on a variety of biologicismo (racism) in Córdoba, Argentina. From the analysis of the expression “black”, determining its references and links, the following hypotheses are raised: this modality of biologicism largely constitutes an exteriority with which “descending” classism is manifested, and in this lies its validity.
