Abstract
The following paper comments the intellectual production of Marcel Mauss in his work reception in Brazil and points out the difficulties of a whole vision because of his work’s dispersion and fragmentation. It presents the trials of Mauss’ disciples to unify and order the Master’s writings throw commented issues. It does a translations’ inventory of the author in Portuguese language, showing it’s virtuouness and gaps. Finally it presents a periodization and a chronology of Mauss’ issues in France and in Brazil.
