Abstract:
This Dossier presents seven articles by Spanish and Brazilian authors that analyze the connections between the act of collecting, the educational value of memorabilia and the role of heritage in the construction of cultural and educational identity. The texts focus on the educational heritage under different dimensions, such as in personal writings; in the act of collecting; in letters and diaries; in the periodical press; in the school's memorabilia in notebooks, manuals and books, in addition to the educational heritage present in the religious memorabilia that integrates life in Western Christian literate societies. Our passions saved and collected became visible and were space for texts that evidence voices extracted from teachers' notebooks; museum collections, family letters, movie scenes, photo albums, personal archives, among other different perspectives on educational heritage.
