This paper is supported by research on educational journals issued in the United States between the 19th century and the early decades of the 20th century. For this study, repositories of U.S. archives and libraries were tracked down and the bibliography relevant to the subject in the mentioned period was surveyed. The list of journals included in this work has 653 titles out of which I conducted an analysis, starting from the prevailing tendencies in different situations, of characteristics such as the place of production, the editor, and intended public and its objectives.
