Abstract
In addition to entering into the analysis of some terms linked to the conceptual space of pedagogical renewal, the case of educational innovation, educational reform, alternative or avant-garde pedagogies, education at the margins, etc., the work accounts for the richness of the processes of educational innovation and pedagogical renewal, from a historical perspective, through the orientation to the reading of seven articles that make up the monographic part of the Magazine, under the title “Vanguards and innovations in education in historical perspective”. A set of studies, linked to the Ibero-American world, in the case of Brazil, Spain, Portugal and Chile, which highlight the wealth of theoretical and practical experiences developed throughout the 20th century, which meant changes in school discourses and practices.
