This article focuses on the strategies, used by the education reformers between 1906 and 1930, in regard to the organization of the public education, current in the State of Minas Gerais. This being the case, the objective of this text is to follow the actions whose target was to implement (within the legal scaffold) the administrative decisions which pointed to teacher's education, trying to understand how those decisions evolved along the scheduled time. The sources which helped this analysis were the messages of the presidents of the States, the educational legislation and the texts, published by the Revista do Ensino from 1925 onwards. We analysed the main proposals of administrative changes, which zeroed in on teachers education and belonged to the mineiro-like modernizing project.
