Contribution of Epigraphy to the study of Roman gladiators during the Early Empire

Archaeological Epigraphic evidence can provide us different approaches to this particular kind of Roman entertainment; it can also help us to rethink the relationship between gladiators and Roman society during the Early Empire and to propose more pluralist approaches to the Roman past.
